AlexAlexandra Morgan Carrasco (American professional soccer player) is striker. She also serves as captain of San Diego Wave FC of National Women's Soccer League, the highest division of women's soccer in the United States. From 2018 until 2020, she captained America's women's national soccer team alongside Megan Rapinoe. [8][99 Morgan was drafted by Western New York Flash at the top of the list in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had completed her studies at Berkeley earlier. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. In the team, she made her professional debut and played in the team's win of the league championship. Morgan was just 22 at the time was the youngest player in the national team at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, where the team finished as runners-up. In the 123rd minutes of the semi-final clash against Canada in the 2012 London Olympics she scored the match-winning goals. She was second in the U.S. to score 21 assists and 20 goals for 2012. This made her the youngest and sixth-highest scoring player in the United States to score 20 goals in one year. Following her selection as the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the year, Morgan was also selected as a FIFA World Player of the Award finalist. Morgan has also played a role in helping the United States win their titles at the 2015 and 2019 FIFA Women's World Cups, where she was named to the Dream Team for both tournaments, while she won the Silver Boot in 2019.
