Melissa Oneil

MelissaMelissa Crystal O'Neil (born July 12, 1988[1]) is a Canadian actor and singer. In 2005, O'Neil won the third season of Canadian Idol, the first Canadian female to win. O'Neil is most well-known for her acting role on Syfy as Two / RebeccaAs Two / Portia Lin and on ABC as Officer Lucy Chen in the ABC procedural drama series The Rookie. She was voted in the bottom three and two of the finals. After being shocked, judges recommended that viewers cast their votes for Melissa as the most vocal contestant. O'Neil was highly praised for her performance and never fell back to the lowest three. Zack Werner declared that O'Neil was "a threat" to win the whole thing. O'Neil as well as Rex Goudie made it to the second round of the contest on the 7th of September the 7th of September, 2005. After yet more impressive performances, Werner declared that "The King [Kalan Porter] has passed away, long live Queen". O'Neil defeated Goudie in the grand final results showon September 14 in 2005. O'Neil was also crowned the third Canadian Idol and the first female winner.
