Antonia's Lofaso invites you to discover her worldview through the cuisine she creates. The curiosity in her grew after she left her home in the Long Island suburbs to explore the vast cultural diversity in Los Angeles. Cavatelli, carnitas, and other dishes can all coexist within a menu. It is an ever evolving taste. But what remains is her distinctive view of the future, while longingly recalling the past. Scopa Italian Roots was opened in 2013 by Lofaso and is influenced with her Italian American heritage. It received an enthusiastic reception. The restaurant's take on old-school Italian has been acclaimed for being among the top eateries for Italian cuisine in Los Angeles. The restaurant is frequently highly acclaimed by patrons of Scopa's for serving food that feels authentic and deliciously satisfying. Lofaso worked as an apprentice of culinary experts taking their tips and taking chances. She never hesitated to do so to follow her own intuition. She soon rose to the ranks at Wolfgang Puck's Spago before moving further to collaborate with famous chefs in a variety of Los Angeles kitchens. Lofaso along with Sal Aurora partnered in 2011 to launch Black Market Liquor Bar Studio City. She was able to secure an outlet within Black Market as well as the partnerships she established. Lofaso achieved her dream of creativity through her collaboration. Black Market does not have one direction that's the intention. The first course could be chipped potatoes and peppers with dill, followed by Korean wings and meatballs. Antonia's bold flavors are the foundation of these bold combination. Lofaso has, over the course of her professional career, has evaluated her the success of her show by how she understands her audiences. In addition, she remains in the same place she was. Her memorable performances on Top Chef Chicago & Top Chef: All Stars showcased her personality outside the cooking area. The talents of Lofaso are apparent in her regular roles as a judge on CNBC's Restaurant Startup judge as well as on the Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child and ABC's Real O'neals. Lofaso has teamed up with Penguin Publishing to publish The Busy Mother's Cookbook - 100 Recipes of easy, Delicious, Home Cooked Meals. In the book, she shares her experiences as a mom and participant in the French Culinary Institute. Lofaso maintains that the inspiration behind all of Lofaso's successes is the kitchen she uses.
